Tracing the Zee family in Hoorn. My great-grandfather, Frederik Zee, lived here in his final years, at Achterom 3. But what other Zee family has lived here?
The earliest mention of a Zee in Hoorn is Anna Hendriks Zee in 1782.
So, in September 1782 Anna Hendriks Zee moved to Hoorn, from Medemblik. She was the daughter of Hendrik Zee(kamp), Bruno Zee’s first son, and Engeltje Kist. Interestingly, she’s the first of this part of the family to go by the name Zee, and not Zeekamp.
Can we find any further traces of her in Hoorn? She might also be Anna Bruijn, Anna Hendriks, or Anna Zeekamp.
